Guest guest
Hi Sharon, Sometimes the pain can be bad. Today was not a bad day for me. Because the pain was only in my upper arm. I guess it is the arthritis that is hitting. I did not even know that I had arthritis till I went to an specialist about my tennis elbow. -- [sPAM][ ] Re: RA pain Hi Jeff, I find I experience different kinds of pain. The pain when the muscles in a joint spasm are nearly unbearable & hard to describe. Like someone is stripping out hot barb wire from inside the muscles. I get a dull hot ache from swelling, another dull pain which has a bit more of an edge if I sit for too long inactive. The pain i get from getting up after sitting for a while is different again. The pain from standing or walking too long is a bit like the muscle spasm pain, just a lttle duller & it tends to fluctuate more. Sometimes it feels like I have glass on the ends of the joints that are rubbing into each other. The pain this time is different from my first flare. My first flare was very bad & intense & continous. It would be nice to know exactly what each pain really means. good luck with your Rheumy, Sharon of Oz > > I'm going to see my rheumatologist for the first time this Monday, and I'd like to know whether anyone else experienced initial RA pain like mine. > > My pains are very sharp and strong, and feel as though someone is trying to break or chisel bones in my hands and feet.
