Guest guest
Leonie, No, that area has no pain at all. WooHoo!, I guess. I searched rheumatoid arthritis and the clavicle and found a lot of information that perfectly discribes what you have. I couldn't find anything like what I see in the mirror though. I'm sure if I knew more, I could find more. On a daily basis, my RA pain is mostly my feet, fingers and wrist. The only deformaties that I have are my wrist and thumbs which I credit to taking MTX. It hasn't put me into remission and but I truly believe without it, I would be much worse. I know the pain is a different level. I can still function, all though not like before. Leonie, I won't tell you what to do, but I know that RA meds have help me tremedously. If the MTX does not agree with you it can be stopped quickly and all adverse side effects go away. Have a good day, Sweetie. Shirley --- In , " leonie cent " <leoniecent@...> wrote: > > Hi Shirley, > Well I aint knowledgeable, but i know i have a problem with my shoulder too. I'm not too good on the names of all the bones, but my collar bone protrudes up thru my skin on the left side, except not where yours does near the middle of the chest, but at the point where it meets my shoulder - if that makes sense. My RA is moving into my shoulders and neck which i hate, because it can get so painful there and it results in not being able to lift my arms. I guess it's just part of the degenerative nature of what we've got. Just about all my other joints are deformed so why not my shoulder, I spose ! > > It would probably help if I got onto methotrexate one of these days, but I'm stalling on it. I spose if the pain gets bad enough, I'll take anything. Every time i decide to take the leap and get on mtx, someone pipes up about how bad it is, and how it chews you up inside ( I know all that already, but you can't focus on that sort of thing, or you'd never take any drug. > > On the bright side, you may appear skinnier than you are if your bones are protruding > > Anyway, is your collarbone painful ? Guest guest
Tawny, Oh Honey, I didn't mean to concerned you with that. I have vacation time saved to see my doctor. I knew to plan ahead and reserve some time. If I don't eat it all up with medical appointments I will be able to take the last two weeks of the year also. The rest of my vacation this year has been used for medical. It is a two faced coin. Thank the Good Lord that I had it and what a way to use it! I'll still take your prayers. It is a great comfort knowing that the people here care and want each other's lives to be better in any way that they can be. God Bless you Tawny. You are such a sweet and caring lady. Guest guest
I am glad that your collarbone has been behaving. Bear in mind this is not a game of " Tag " . I refuse to play and be " It " . Shirley > > > Awesome girl!!!! I'm so happy to hear your able to see your doctor, and > find out whats going on.
