Guest guest
You can always buy some pretty labels and chose a nice font to type out the addresses and print them. I always design my envelopes with glitter and heat dry the glue /glitter on the stamps, etc....not this year. Guest guest
I don't do near as many as you but if you start doing the envelopes now just a couple a night and then closer to holidays do the letter and personal notes a few at a time maybe that would help. You could also do labels on the computer (if you have kids or grandkids let them stick them for you) and explain in your newsletter that you would really like to hand do them but that your hands will now allow you to do them any long and then just do the personal note by hand. I'm sure just hearing from you is the important thing and not how they are done. linda From: Leanne <oldredmom@...> Subject: [ ] a new reality and Christmas is coming... Guest guest
Kami, I'll be sure to make you the biggest and the brightest!!!! Actually if you use the hot gun thingy it does not go all over the place because it sets it...but it is a lot of work and I don't do it for every card. I don't think I'm going to do it this year. We'll see. I'm happy with red and green calligraphy pens, with a gold pen for underlining. As long as I have a live tree and can put my white peaceful lights on it, I'm happy. My mother lives with me, and she is 85. She enjoys the tree. As long as nothing blinks at me, I'm fine! I used to put a gold ex pen around my tree to prevent my dogs tail from hitting the tree, but last year she was so good, I think the lights calm her as well, I decided to go without! and it survived...the tree and dog. I also have 3 cats, and they are never a problem. I swear its the white lights. I should keep them up all year long!!! I do have pine needles in May though, and until I get sick of that, I will keep getting a live tree. Last year was the first time in a long time I got the tree myself, it was ...different, painful in many ways.....but...i did it. Heidi in Mass. In a message dated 10/23/2008 7:22:44 A.M. Guest guest
Last year was the first year I did not do cards...... I am not sure if I will do them this year. It depends if I can get into the " spirit " or not. Last year we actually put up a palm tree instead of a Christmass tree! My RA hit hard and fast last year around Christmas and we scaled back ALOT and you know what? I enjoyed it more...... *~ Kami ~* [ ] a new reality and Christmas is coming... Guest guest
You could scan a signature you may already have assuming you have a scanner with your computer, and add it to the letter. If not, there are companies that make up signature rubber stamps. You could personalize it with a holiday greeting and your signature and it's very inexpensive. Here's an example: http://internetr.stores..net/id10034inx23.html Take care. Bob > > For those of you who celebrate Christmas, how do you go about getting > your cards done? Guest guest
Oh, Leanne - this inquiry is right up my alley!! For the past two years now I have been using labels. Address labels, return address labels, signature labels and last year I even made labels to go on the back of my daughter's school pictures that were sent out to family and friends. Address and Signature labels can be the same size. Return address and picture labels are also the same size. I use Avery 8167 and Avery 5260. On the signature labels, I used color, fancy font and added our own wishes that I would have normally typed out. It works wonders!!! Hope this helps.........Doreen > > For those of you who celebrate Christmas, how do you go about > getting your cards done? Guest guest
I have the names and addresses in a data base, and print them out onto labels, which I then stick on the cards. It really does make it easier than hand addressing each card. I do sign the cards.
