Guest guest
Clora, I believe you are taking what Brad said literally.... An " act of God " is a term that is used for something out of human control. I don't think Brad meant " God chose us and gave us this disease " Please correct me if I am wrong Brad... *~ Kami ~* [ ] Re: Is God making us sick???????? Brad and group; I had to stop my reading and comment quickly on this.. I am sure many of us has diff theories on why and what God does to us.. My theory is that God does not do any thing to us with diseases but heal us or lead us to the right cocktail for it... If one read about Job he/she will notice is it's Satan that afflicks Job... God didnt do it he gave Satan right to do it with out killing Job... My theory is man caused sickness and diseases and some is even from geneology from curses brought on by sin... this is only my opinion I am not quoting facts about why we become afflicted with diseases... Of course I would not want Gods wrath to come down upon me cause he can do anything except lie... I read in the bible that God is pure Truth... Brad I don't know what your religion is or what your beliefs are,,, but I want to ask you to take all answers about God the great I am.. with a grain of salt because mankind will guess a lot and forget to say they are guessing... Ok hon.. So my answer to your question is NO. Ok back to my reading will answer yesterdays posts when done with todays readings... gentle hugs Clora ******************************************************* > Thanks everyone for your responses and understanding. Guest guest
Hi Kami - I thought the same thing as Clora when I read Brad's question on whether we thought our illnesses were a " random act of God " or a result of the RA. I don't believe God does anything randomly. You'd be surprised at how many people do believe that God " made them sick " . While Brad may not have intended his words to be taken literally, I think Clora's description of what God is and does was beautiful. Two sides to every coin. I also believe that not all of our illnesses were a result of the RA either - some came before, some after. But I can't help but wonder if they're all connected somehow. For instance, I believe mine are a direct result of stress factors throughout my life. For some it may be due to physical stresses, others emotional. Just my thoughts on all of this...........Doreen > > Clora, > > I believe you are taking what Brad said literally.... An " act of God " is a term that is used for something out of human control.
