Guest guest
Andy and group; That is a good question Andy... Sorry I don't have the answers... Sometimes it's our body language... I walk like I am in pain,, its very easy to do,, especially if one is in pain... When I went to the doctors I would pretend I am just fine.. When they say how are you I would say ok.. Now I just smile and keep limping... Good luck I can't wait to hear what the group say on that subjece... I dealt with fibro for 30 years till I learned how to whine and complain to the doctors instead of my family and friends haaaaaaaa.. What is the old saying,, oh here it is... The squeaky wheel gets oiled.. gentle hugs Clora *************************************************************** > > Hi all, > > I know I mostly lurk lol cause I don't have much to say most of the time. > > I live in Michigan, have crappy insurance, Fibromyalgia, RA and > Degenerative Disk Disease. > > I go to the pain clinic for the first time (finally after bullying my > doctor into making the referral) and I was wondering if anyone had any > helpful input on what to say to these people so that they do more than > shuffle me on to the next doctor. > > I've been dealing with this back problem for about 10 years (I'm only > 27) and every year it gets worse. Guest guest
Andi, My daughter uses a pain clinic for her medications. They do random drug test, so you will see many people come and go. I do want to warn you though, if it is like here the will be a long wait at the office. Guest guest
Hi Andi - My old PC sent me to a pain management doctor as well for basically the same reasons. He helped alot and did eventually send me on to a Rheumy, but aside from pain meds, he had me doing PT through his office that included heat, ice and ultrasound. He was able to give me TPI injections in my shoulder and cortisone shots as well. I hope you get some good relief with your pain clinic as well. Good for you for not giving up until you were able to get what you needed. Do you see a Rheumy as well? I wish I had been able to afford to keep going to my pain management doctor, but without insurance, I just couldn't afford it anymore. Keep us posted on how it goes with you..........Doreen > > Hi all, > > I know I mostly lurk lol cause I don't have much to say most of the > time. > > I live in Michigan, have crappy insurance, Fibromyalgia, RA and > Degenerative Disk Disease. > > I go to the pain clinic for the first time (finally after bullying > my doctor into making the referral) and I was wondering if anyone > had any helpful input on what to say to these people so that they > do more than shuffle me on to the next doctor. > > I've been dealing with this back problem for about 10 years (I'm > only 27) and every year it gets worse.
