Pilgrim,

I would sure like to be in Idaho sounds like the perfect weather for

hyper thyroids.

Also I have e-mailed Dr. and they e-mailed me back. They said

that your first visit had to be in his office and after that it could be

taken care of over the phone. To get an appointment call 235-854-4900

and the office is in Tacoma real close to you.

I just moved from Washington state and am ready to move back I don't

like the heat or the people hear, they are too nice and you don't know

what they will do when you turn your back!

I was living in Bellingham Wa. and really liked it and now its time I

will be selling 32 acres in N.C. if anyone is interested.

Hello Raven,

Bellingham, huh?? Nice town. When do you plan to move back???

Did you send Dr. 's e-mail address in the earlier post and I missed

it??? If so, would you please send it again??? Thanks!!

Well, N. Idaho weather would be perfect for the 'normal' hyperT, but I am

far from 'normal!' lol

'Normally,' I am one of those women that you see running about with just a

long sleeved shirt on when others have on coats - having been that way since

a complete hysterectomy at the age 36. However, right after we moved from

WA. State [mid-Sept.] I started freezing to death. Even though we've been

assured our past winter was, indeed, a very mild winter, I froze to death

all winter. [Part of that was because I was on PTU all of the winter

months, but changed to Tapazole mid-March]. And I'm still cold. This was

all happening with my TSH at 0.03. My last lab tests mid-May showed my TSH

actually increased to 0.33!!!! Nonetheless, go figure because it's the

hypoT's that are normally cold.

Well, the Seattle/Tacoma area is quite a distance from me. I'm in N. Idaho

and as you well know, that is several hundred miles from me. We lived in

the Seattle/Tacoma/Everett area for most of our married life. Also the

Spokane area [spokane is over an hour from us]. Just prior to moving here,

we had been in the central part of the state, Leavenworth. Now just from

here to Leavenworth is over 5 hours, and then it's another 3 hours to the

Seattle/Everett area via s Pass. And about the same to the southern

end of Seattle and the Tacoma area via s Pass and Snoqualmie Pass -

from Leavenworth. Therefore anywhere in the Seattle/Tacoma/Everett area is

a minimum of 8 hours - then depending upon where you wish to go, it could be

another 30 to 40 minutes, depending upon traffic. And let me assure you,

traffic is awful!!!! lol Any visit to see Dr. would necessitate a

stay-over of a minimum two nights in the area.

Yes, I'm aware that Dr. does offer the phone care after the initial

care visit - which is unique. I don't think many doctors would or even

care to do. My only question would be: Then where would lab tests be

conducted, anywhere????

Thanks for your 'work' on all of this and your concern!!

I don't know. It took me a few minutes to figure it out.

In contrast to the past, the most recent message is at the top of the

message index list.

" First " is now the most recent page of messages.

" Last " is now the earliest page of messages.

" Previous " moves you to later messages.

" Next " moves you to earlier messages.

The messages numbers no longer appear adjacent to the message in the

message index list. So now if you want to refer someone to message

12,345, they'll have a hard time finding it.

I hate the new format.

I like to use the Browser & in the old format I could see about 20

headings per page. The new format has about 4 headings per page.

Not good at all.

I will hang aroud a few days & if it is not changed, I am gone.

Too much trouble to try to scan headings.

I do not use email to read news groups!

Click on *messages* in the left hand yellow box. 29 messages are

displayed per page.

I have trouble w/ small print too, Ernest, but only the " " box at

top contains small print. The font in the " Subject: " Box and the

reply window is size 10 same as always.

You can always hit the new " feedback " link at top of page and let em

know what you think

I like the new format. I don't know what you are talking about

saying you can only see 4 headings per page. I guess you are calling

the messages heading? Even on the old format you only saw 5 messages

on the opening page until you hit the messages on the left side. I

like this better because the print on the message headers is bigger

so they don't run together like they used to.

I also can't believe that you are considering leaving the group just

because of the way the page looks.

You can set the message sup to drop to your e-mail account. You do not

need to read them via the web.

This works for Internet Explorer also. For IE or Firefox, you can

select View | Text Size from the browser's menu to adjust the text size.

In IE it also works if you have a scroll mouse, if you hold

the " Control Key " down and scroll up or down and it will increase or

decrease the text size.

gave us many things to learn.

If you are planning on giving a total of 800 IU a day of the alpha,

I suggest you get a pure alpha (400 IU) and give 2 of the brand you

bought in the am, and the pure alpha in the pm. Not sure you want

800 mg of gamma. We just don't know, but that's a large gamma dose.
