Guest guest
Hi all, I know I mostly lurk lol cause I don't have much to say most of the time. I live in Michigan, have crappy insurance, Fibromyalgia, RA and Degenerative Disk Disease. I go to the pain clinic for the first time (finally after bullying my doctor into making the referral) and I was wondering if anyone had any helpful input on what to say to these people so that they do more than shuffle me on to the next doctor. I've been dealing with this back problem for about 10 years (I'm only 27) and every year it gets worse. I'm in the process of moving in with my mom, because I can no longer take care of everyday tasks alone, and I have 3 children. I desperately need them to do SOMETHING I don't care what they do at this point, they've been talking about surgery but evidently because of my age and various illnesses none of these doctors want any part of surgery on my back. My GP is terrified to give me any pain meds, because evidently he has to report any narcotic he gives a patient and he is shifty and doesn't like " the man " checking up on him (he doesn't put it like that lol but that sure is how it seems lol) Oh wow...novel much? Sorry guys lol Any info would be great, sometimes I get brain foggy so I'll try to remember to check for replies... Andi
