Hi Becky,

It took me about 1 month to get my Enbrel after being placed on the list. I

do recommend getting pre-approval from your insurance company. I did not

and - consequently - had difficulty when my medication arrived. I did get

the insurance co. approval, but it delayed my first dose by 4 days.

Good Luck,

Greg

Hi ,

I use the Enbrel Sureclick. My first one, I had a reaction that I thought

was going to kill me. My shoulders hurt, I was tired, my head was killing me.

My Dr. said it was OK, to take some tylenol, I would feel better. He was

right. The following week, I had just the headache. I still wasn't feeling

better from it. The 3rd week, I had no side effects, but still wasn't feeling

better from it. For me, it took 6 weeks. Now, I won't let go! I look

forward to Mondays. By Wednesday, I have lots of energy. It wears off though,

and

I think it's my MTX because I'm always ready for Monday. Unless I'm like

Pavlovs dog and I'm just so conditioned??? LOL. In any case, I'm thankful

that I'm able to take it. My rheumatologist got this approved for me right

away

without issue. Hope this helps you. Have a great day!

Hugs and Smiles,

Heidi in Mass.

I have a couple of questions for the Enbrel users out there..

Once starting Enbrel, how long did it take for you to feel a difference, and

what did it do for you (in feeling better)?

I just had my 4th injection, is it too early? My rheumy said with some

people it is almost immediate, others 5 weeks or so. Thoughts?

Hi Marie,

NO. If I were you, I'd call the Dr. Or your Enbrel nurse at Enliven. Maybe

you need to switch needles or the site? I'd call anyway, better to ask.

Does anyone ever have pain in the injection site that lasts a couple of

weeks? No swelling, no redness- just hurts when it's touched?

Marie,

I agree with Heidi, call your doctor, that just doesn't sound right. I

am on humira and mtx injections, I usually inject in my legs, which they

get sore at times, but not really at the site. Just soreness.

Keep us posted, Tawny
