Guest guest
Everyone treats me equal even though I don't have RA. I really love this group also. I may not have posted that I needed a pick me up or anything like that however there is always someone on this list wishing good thoughts to someone and THAT ITSELF warms my heart. > > Care you add anything? Guest guest
And, we all help the 'whole body and mind', not just the RA. There are a number of lists that wouldn't allow even a word that doesn't directly pertain to the list subject. Guest guest
I love the list because it's science based, does an amazing job of not just sending us information, but distilling it into useable form. The members support one another through bad times and celebrate good times. I've argued with people while maintaining civil discourse and not having hurt feelings. I feel like I have instant access to a group of people who know how scary it can be to have RA and how important it is to work toward carving out a life despite it all! ________________________________ From: ~ Kami ~ <kamilleon@...> < > Sent: Sunday, October 26, 2008 7:56:47 PM Subject: [ ] Why I love this list (please feel free to add on) I love this list because.... Guest guest
Well said, Kami. I proclaim you the official RA Support Cheerleader. Rah, rah, rah! Sis, boom, bah!! **roflmbo** Seriously though, I love this list for the camaraderie we all share - and to repeat Kami's words, I love that we can vent and not feel someone is trying to compete with our words or " one up " our symptoms. I have a sister who is always trying to copy or " one up " people (me especially). For example, one time I mentioned that my shoulder was just screaming out in pain. Next thing I knew, she was using the word " screaming " to describe just about everything involving herself. Ok, 'nough said *lol*...Next?.....Doreen > > I love this list because.... > > This is one of the few lists out there that is not " competitive " in > the sense that someone is always trying to " one up " each other with > symptoms and illnesses. > > This is, by far, THE MOST supportive list to which I have ever > belonged. Guest guest
Yes, and some moderators let the power go to their head and rule with an iron fist. They seem to enjoy reprimanding members for the slightest infraction. Our dear , however, rules with a velvet glove. She is great! Guest guest
That's very sweet of you, Sue. Thank you. I'm wondering if you could please write the members who left in a huff because they believe I'm a maniacal tyrant. And that we are a cult, LOL. Guest guest
I love this group of people because they are caring, supportive, informative, and they know exactly how it feels with dealing with the pain of RA every day. They are always here for us with compassion and understanding. > > > > > > I love this list because..... > > > > > > This is one of the few lists out there that is not " competitive " in > > the sense that someone is always trying to " one up " each other with > > symptoms and illnesses. > > > > > > This is, by far, THE MOST supportive list to which I have ever > > belonged. Guest guest
10/28 7:40 pm and I just read all the comments and I agree with ALL of them. This is the best support group out there and I've learned a lot and hopefully passed on some of my experiences to benefit others. But people here are really caring and concerned for eachother emotionally and with the illnesses we are all suffering with. Thank you to everyone, Stella > > I love this list because.... > > This is one of the few lists out there that is not " competitive " in the sense that someone is always trying to " one up " each other with symptoms and illnesses. > > This is, by far, THE MOST supportive list to which I have ever belonged.
