Guest guest
Sharon of OZ and my favorite group; Haaaaaaaa is oz a real plase. I love the movie the wizard of Oz. I wish my town had a neat name like that. It's Gaffney. I moved here from Cleveland ohio. At least Cleveland is famous lol. The climate is warmer here in S.C.. When I first moved here I notised the sun is a lot closer in SC than it is in Cleveland haaaaaaaaa. I tried the tens unit. It was great. I couldnt sit still long enough to use it. If I had it now I would be very glad to sit still and use it. Seeing how with the RA I cant move from pain sometimes. The Insurance paid for the unit for my son n law. He had back surgery and let me try it out. Sorry to hear about your gland problem. Is it from having RA or you just mentioned it? I know RA is an immune problem so that takes care of everything and anything in our bodies I guess. I had a gland problem last year. I was having severe chest pains so I went to emergency. I won't go to the ER unless I am carried in. I hate sitting for hours. I would if I had too. But most of the time I get an appointment with my Primary Doctor. Ok. They couldnt find anything wrong they treated it as if it was a heart attack. To make a long story short lol. The ER doctor called my primary doctor and my primary doctor asked him to admit me. When I went to my room to be checked in a nurse came by and took information for any brusise and marks on my body. I said I got a large scratch on my leg she looked at it and wrote it down. After 4 days my doctor sent me for a test where they inject dye into me. Finally my doctor said I had cat scratch fever. Haaaaaa I said what. The cat that scratched me a week or so earlier causing a lympnode gland infection. Some antibiotic and rest cleared it all up. I was sent home the 5th morning. I was taking methotrtexate at the time. You cant take antibiotics when you are taking MXT. O what a mess I got in. I am fine now. Sharon I learned a long time ago not to worry about being labeled a hypochondriac. I was labeled as one from the beginning (at age 23 I am 54 now,) from my family and later my doctor haaaaaaaa. I just got another doctor no problem there. My old doctor said my headaches and body pain was in my head. She told me gently and kindly. I knew better. I believe I had fibro than. It took 30 years of pain to be diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Omg I have wrote a long post lol. I can say a lot more but I better stop so no one thinks I am nuts if they read it this far haaaaaaa. Feel better Sharon. GEntle hugs everyone Clora

Guest guest
Hi Sharon of Oz It sounds like you are talking about a TENS Unit. Be careful with those as you could cause more damage if it is not used properly. As far as the gland over your ear being swollen, if your GP is not taking this seriously, then perhaps you should see an ENT (ear, nose & throat) specialist or a dermatologist. I'd go with the ENT myself. Take care and keep us posted...........Doreen > > Hi everyone, > > I'm wondering if anyone has tried those electric impulse divices? > Some versions have been sold a cheats way of building up muscle, > however others are for pain relief & repair of damaged tissue etc. > > A friend of mine who has carpal tunnel bought one (au$340.00) & > has mostly good feedback on it.
