Not sure that I would've wanted to change those diapers!!! LOL! >>>>Quite often I take one of the small cans to work for my lunch and eat it right out of the can. Good for you and almost no calories. Yummy.... I can eat it straight outta the can, too! Got to watch the salt though. When my mom was growing up in Germany, she used to have to stomp the sauerkraut and salt in a big ol' barrel (imagine the Lucy and Ethel scene, stomping the grapes in Italy for wine, only my mom had to stomp the kraut) My mom said that she never had callouses on her heels/feet because of the salt. Gosh, I sure hope they still don't do it that way!!! Hugs, Janet

Guest guest
Janet, the lady in your chapter who square dances would probably LOVE to do a program -- maybe even get some of her square dance friends to come dance with her! My mother (who was part of the dance band until my dad died) is 82 years YOUNG and is part of a line-dance group at our Senior Citizen Center here in Midland. These ladies have done a program for us at my chapter - and they go all over Midland and Odessa just to dance! They all dress alike and have different costumes for different dances, and they are just too cute! No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Version: 7.0.298 / Virus Database: 265.6.7 - Release Date: 12/30/2004

Guest guest
Have you ever heard that expression "flat as a flidder"? Well flidders is when you make up dough as if you are gonna make bisquits and instead of making bisquits you would put some grease in a skillet, (not a lot) and you would put the dough little at a time (like a big spoon fullf) in the skillet fry the dough instead of baking it. You would press the dough out flat so it would cook through and through. It is more or less a flatten bisquit that has been fried. The crustier they are the better they are. We were really poor and we did not have a gas stove and the only way we had of cooking anything was over an old pot belly stove so all of our food were fried or boiled. I soemtimes will fry me one now and eat a can of butterbeans and onion with it. IT IS GOOD, but NOT good for you. Guest guest
Kathleen, I don't rinse or even heat the sauerkraut that I eat at lunch at work. I just eat it straight out of the can. I buy Libby's Crispy Sauerkraut because it coms in the small 8 oz can. The whole can has 40 calories.

Guest guest
Pepper, actually I don't live too far from you. We could have that Kraut party sometime. I could just zip right down 518 to Kemah then down 146 to where you are. Or better yet, take the Beltway to 146.
