Hello,

I was wondering if anyone here has been diagnosed with a lung nodule.I

was in the ER yesterday because of my coughing and canr breathe at

night and my d-dimer has been high in the past,my pcp thought it might

be a blood clot in my lung, but cat scan showed a nodule.I see my doc

on Friday , but can it be caused by the RA/ Also, my d dimer (blood

test that looks for clots) was now over 800 when it should be in the

400's.Thank you

Heidi,

Lung nodules can be caused by RA.

I hope your physicians figure out exactly what's going on very soon.

Please let us know,

Heidi,

My husband does not have a diagnosis yet but he does have coughing and

breathing problems. He will probably have a lung biopsy soon. His

rheumy is saying he might have RA that is attacking his lung. His RA

blood test is 159 but he does not have swollen joints. Before he

started on the prednisone, he had sudden severe joint pain, but no

swelling. He goes back to the lung doctor this Friday. He will probably

have a VATS for the biopsy. Good luck to you.

Take care, Lynn J.

I have 2 nodules on my left lung and 3 on my liver. I have had these

for a year now. The doc does cat scans every 6 months to watche them.

I have Lupus Sle, Fibro and RA. I had a lung surgery in 96, had a

mass on my right lung, they took a section and didn't find out what

it was. I am worried about cancer. I just learned a few months ago

that RA attacks your organs as well as Lupus. It is scary, I just

take one day at a time anymore. God Bless

Coetta and group;

Omg I am so sorry. Please don't worry. Worry never occomplished

anything good. It will just mess with your stomache, I know I have

irritable bowel from worrying. Taking one day at a time is the best

thats what I do too.

gentle hugs

Hi Coetta - I'm so sorry you are having to deal with all of this

stuff. You are right, though. Sometimes the only thing we CAN do is to

take one day at a time and sometimes one minute at a time. Hang in

there. My heart goes out to you. I pray that a cure is found in our

lifetime. My prayers are with you as well..........Doreen :)

Coetta,

I have a nodule on my left lung and my rheumy doesn't seem to be

concerned about it. (I also have nodules on my right elbow). Hang in

there, I hope it is nothing serious.
