Tawny..no that is fine. You don't need to apologize. we talk about

everything that happens in our life with r/a. It is a problem to you and that

is fine

that you wanted to ask about it. I, for one, don't mind talking about my

deformities...sometimes it is a release just to mention it and let it go. It

does some good to get it out.

No Tawny..I'm not the Owner. Maybe she'll jump in and say hello.

It is good to be able to talk these things over. I am positive that a toe

deformity and the use of these r/a meds were really, really scary to me about

25 yrs ago when I was dx'd. Just knowing I was 32 and had what I thought was

an older persons disease was scary enough. Now I am 59 and just happy I can

walk and do things. so i don't dwell on the deformities cause it could be

worse. At least I am mobile.

Thanks a,

As you know, this RA is very scrary. It is a release, to know your

not alone, and what someone can do. Are you , the owner, just

curious? I hear no one talk about her, I've been gone awhile. Tawny

Tawny,

Please don't feel as if you need to apologize for posting about your

concerns. That's what we're here for.

Tawny,

Excuse me, but isn't that what this is all about, support. If you are

concerned about something we will be glad to listen and respond. I

know it is scarry. That was my first thought, what is going to happen

to my body?

Don't apologize, it's OK for the new people to know that they are not

alone in their worries and concerns.

I hope you have a better day and try not to feel guilty because it

really is OK.

Tawny

Whoa there hon (gentle hugs)

I see no reason for an apology here.

After all isn't this what we're all here for, chat, perhaps lean on one another

when times are hard, share a little laugh now and again and learn from each

other.

I mean it does say right on the home page that we can even whine all we want.

~smile~

I didn't reply to this thread because after almost 5+ years I don't have what I

would call deformities. Oh yeah I counted my rheumatoid nodules once, believe it

was 7. I've even had surgeries on my left foot to remove two that cause pain

when walking because they were on the bottom of my foot. In fact I have another

pretty much in the same place but on the side of my foot that doesn't bother my

walking (I have enough other things that bother my walking). Even though my Dr

has asked many times about surgery on that and one on my right hand I just blow

it off by saying they don't hurt. Besides from my experience they only return.

I'm getting a little off track here but what I'm trying to say is Please don't

feel an apology is needed. Please do feel free to talk about YOU and share how

you feel. (gentle hugs)

Hang in there lady.

Hi Judy,

Thanks, it helps when someone understands. We all have a different

feeling about this disease, and what it causes. You have been through

quite a lot, and your still going. On your post, on how your life use

to be, that brought back many memories. We all had that nice life,

taking care of our bodies, having fun, now we can't do all that. We

just watch our family, and it sometimes hurts. We can't get that

back, but we just move on. Sometimes, I look in the mirror, and I

don't like that person looking back at me. I just take one day at a

time, and I guess that is the best I can do for now. Thanks Judy for

your wonderful post, take care of yourself, Tawny

a,

Yes, maybe we will hear from her. She is a wonderful lady, and a

great friend. I lost touch with her. You are so right, at least your

mobile, and that is the greatest thing. I can't walk well, but I make

the effort. I do not use any device at this time, maybe in the

future. I know just the, " keep moving, " is very important. I can't do

a lot of walking or jogging, I'm still able to move a little, lol I

have a big house, and so I do a little bit of cleaning, and it stays

fairly clean. I've always love to clean my own house, and no one does

it like me, so I'm still going. Thanks a for posting, you are

much needed on this group, Tawny

Tawny....wait until you're my age (59) and look in the mirror and wonder what

happened to YOU...lol In my mind, I am still that young mini skirted girl

that wore heels, danced, worked, and loved listening to all kinds of

music...especially Journey.

But the bright side is, I have lived a good life and am still enjoying it.

That's what counts. Now i watch the grandchildren enjoy those things.

i'm new to this support group and have never done one before anyway, but I'm not

sure why you are apologizing for talking about your toes.  It's probably on all

of our minds and the TV commercials sure bring it up enough.  It's a concern for

new people as well as the " experienced ones " .  Thanks for sharing!!  Paris

Aw, Tawny - no need to apologize. Actually, I was going to reply to

your original post and didn't. My toes next to the " pinky " toes have

always been a little curved, but I noticed at my last pedicure that

they seem to be curved even more as you can't see the polish anymore

once I stand up. I do have stabbing pain at times that goes from the

top side of my feet to that area, so I'm sure its the RA

<sigh>....Doreen :)

My mind is still young, but my body sure isn't. I love Journey, by

the way! Yes, it's nice to just sit back, and watch the kids. Now,

it's their turn to shine, Tawny

Journey has a new lead singer. He's Filipino, but he sounds just like

Steve . I think they discovered him on You Tube or something

similar.
