Guest guest
Hi Debbie - what a bummer that they got your Rx all messed up. I know its hard with everything else we have to keep track of, but its important we watch our Rx's. One time my pharmacy accidentally shorted me 80 SSZ tablets. They had opened one bottle of 100, but forgot to add the additional 80 that was called for on the script. As frustrating as it is, most people will gracefully correct the mistake made, but I certainly do count my meds when I get them home. Especially the pain meds. My PC writes for 90 and if I get shorted and don't realize it until I'm almost out, I'm basically screwed until the next month because they're a controlled substance. Anyway, I'm glad yours is all straightened out now.....Doreen > > A few weeks ago I noticed my mail order Neurontin was getting too > low. Called my rheumy's nurse for a new mail order script. Guest guest
And I'm having trouble with my pharmacy charging my $4 meds to the PartD insurance. It will help get me to the 'donut hole' sooner. I'll have to give them another piece of my mind. Maybe I should switch pharmacies. Guest guest
I get my Enbrel from a Medco Speciality Pharmacy, and it's shipped directly to me. My insurance allows for a 34-day supply for a month instead of the usual 30-day supply; therefore a 3-month supply for me is seven boxes. Although I've been getting my Enbrel from this same place for several years, they simply CANNOT get it straight! Apparently I am the only one that is supposed to get seven boxes. So of course they send me six boxes a lot instead of seven. I finally talked to a supervisor, and she was very nice. She said she was going to write something in my file so that I wouldn't be shorted again. She had them send out the extra box that they had shorted me. They wrongly charged me another $50 for the one box, so I had to call again to get that corrected. It was just a couple of weeks then that they sent my next 3-month supply. They sent six boxes. Sigh. I haven't called to straighten this out yet. I get so frustrated with them, and I don't need the stress. Guest guest
Thanks for the replys to my note. Looks like many of you have similar problems getting the meds you need or getting insurance to pay for it. Will pay more close attention to what meds I receive and any new scripts I get. Guest guest
Debbie L. Doreen and group; I have had my meds messed up many times. Delivered to the wrong house. I got a note from the pharmacist one time that he would give me the remaining pills Friday cause they didnt have enough to fill my scrpt. I took the note in that Friday and explained to the other pharmacist what happened. He said " That don't prove anything I can't give you extra pills from a note. " So I tried to find the same pharmacist and couldnt. He quit or was sick I don't know. That was before there was computers haaaaaaaaa. Computers can be good too lol. I am trying to get all my meds through a regular drug store now. Having them mailed is to much problems. Plus you have to wait a few extra days to be delivered. I had to wait a week one time. gentle hugs Clora *************************************************************** > Hi Debbie - what a bummer that they got your Rx all messed up. Guest guest
Sue, I have Medco also. You must be on bi-weekly shots. I do one a week and get three boxes for 3 months. Did they send you a sharps container and alcohol preps? If not they will supply them for you. I think we are changing mail pharmacies next year. That means doctor visits and all new scripts that I will have to submit. I am planning on refilling everything that I can in December. I hope your problems with Medco are corrected soon. Guest guest
Yes, I am on the bi-weekly shots that I mix myself. The Enbrel people have sent me a sharps container before, but I prefer to use something smaller. I drink Folger's flavored coffee, and it comes in a plastic container that is ideal for my used needles. And the Enbrel comes with plenty of alcohol preps, two with each shot. I don't actually use one on my tummy before the shot, but do afterwards. I do wish that they could get my order straight. I might just have to go back to getting the med from my CVS.
