Guest guest
Hi All! I guess I forgot to tell you all about the wonderful thing that happened to me about a month ago. I had a vaginal myomectomy at New York Presbyterian Hospital, performed by the greatest doctor in the world, Dr. Jody Blanco. I'm not leaking anymore and my friends don't call me pad woman anymore. He said the pedunculated submucosal fibroid weighed about 1/4 lb, and was as big as an orange. Not so bad, but considering that it was sticking out of my cervix and my cervix was dilated, I guess I was more uncomfortable than I let on. I feel great. I have just one question (I'm NOT complaining), but I wanted to know what my period was supposed to be like after this. I had my first period since and it was horrible! It was clotty and I was flooding like I couldn't believe. I guess this is normal, but has anyone had a hysteroscopic or vaginal myomectomy and can tell me what to expect? I assume that what I am experiencing is probably normal because the doc doesn't want me to go on birth control pills or anything for about 3 months, probably so that things will get back to normal. YEAH, I'm healed!
