Vicki and group;

Vicki I had sores in my mouth every few months. For many years.   No doctor

could figure it out.   One doctor even said it was herpes.  If it was everyone

in my family would have it.

One of the sores left when I had a tooth pulled. It obviously had a sharp place

and was cutting into my tongue.  After the tooth was pulled that plase cleared

up.

Than I was on mexothrxato.  The doctor (RA) had me take folic acid with it cause

I would get mouth sores.  I couldnt take methotrexate I am allergic to it.  But

while I took the folic acid my sores healed up in my mouth.  Now when the sores

come I take folic acid for a few days, and the sores heal up. Just thought you

would like to know.

Always ask your doctor when taking any medication over the counter.   Also I am

not a doctor.

Gentle hugs

Clora

Subject: [ ] Dr appointment today and some what off topic

Date: Monday, November 3, 2008, 3:55 PM

I did talk to my oncologist today and was given a special mouth wash as well as

told to rinse twice a day with peroxide. Hopefully that helps. My appointment

with my Rheumy is the 19th and if it is not better he wants me to also discuss

it with her. My records from today were faxed there as well.

Blood tests today showed normal T blood cells, meaning that the good cells are

taking over the cancer cells. Great news for me as it means once again the chemo

has and is working. If things keep going the way they are I will be able to go

off chemo in 4 weeks. The perfect Christmas Gift.

I do have a very low blood count so my folic acid and D vitamins were upped even

higher, and iron was added. But all in all I could not have asked for a better

day. Now I can focus more on the RA and managing the pain from it.
