My last cigarette was two years and two days ago. Like all of you most of the

time I do feel better in that aspect, however there are some days, like I have

told my doctor several times, that I felt better smoking. Even though I cannot

stand to even be in the same room with smokers any longer as it makes me sick.

It was after I quit that I was diagnosed with RA and Fibro. However I do often

wonder how long I had it and just did not realize it.

Thanks Clora

It wasn't easy to quit. I started smoking when I was fourteen, you know it was

the cool thing to do. I was 45 and smoking two to three packs per day by the

time I quit. I used the commit lozenges which worked wonders for me. My honey on

the other end quit a little over a year ago for my health issues, however he

still uses those commmits as apart of his daily routine. But it is his choice

and he is keeping my from having to breathe it,

I quit 9 days ago and am having a difficult time.  I cheated with one yesterday.

About 2 weeks ago someone posted a web site to aid with quitting.

I can not find it. Can it be posted again?

, Clora, and whoever else, most folks that are unsuccessful make

the mistake to not change their living schedules or style. You must do

something to take the place of that old habit with another one. There was an

actor a bunch of years ago that always carried a cigarette on his ear to

remind him that it was available if he needed it. That worked for him. I

quit in 1989 using the Nicorett gum and haven't had the urge since then. It

can be done! Good luck, now I need to quit Prednisone, that's a real

problem...
