Guest guest
Hi ...oh I know that feeling. I get out of my mustang and park in the handicap section if I have a particularly painful day. I have had one lady come up to me and tell me I couldn't park there. I was so mad...showed her my hands and asked her if she would like to see my feet. she walked into Target by me.... I asked when was she appointed the Handicap Police Person? This was about 8 yrs ago and my hands are a lot worse now. She made me so mad. I was fuming and couldn't even shop. i walked out of there madder than a hornet. She kind of acted all righteous and didn't say much. I bet she doesn't do that again. i was surprised I got so livid. I was dxd with r/a when I was 32 so I have had it since 1983. My sister would always tell me that all I had to do was exercise and I'd feel better. we don't talk anymore. I don't think she ever looked up rheum arthritis or read a brochure on it. People like that I can do without. Plus when I needed help when my dad was ill...I had to move back from Fl to take care of him...when my sister was 2 min away. Thats a long story too.....lol I digress. I'm glad of the people on these groups...who understand. It sure is comforting. I know we all have stories like mine. Hugs..a Canton OH I think we all get the " you don't look sick " . I get it more since I am young (31). Most people don't know the difference between RA and osteoarthritis...so people are shocked when I tell them that I had to file for SSDI because of " arthritis " . That I am " too lazy " to work and I just want to milk the system for all that I can get. That is coming from my mom's boyfriend. At least we have eachother to lean on for support. ************** It's only a deal if it's where you want to go. Find your travel deal here.
