Guest guest
Hi all. Does anyone have problems with this? I have RA, OA, DDD, FMS and chostochondritis (sp?). My first rheumy told me i had a bad bone spur in my heel and I decided to leave it alone till it bothered me. When it started hurting I complained to the ortho about the foot pain and he said he didn't see a bone spur ( the rheumy has left town), that I had Plantar Facitis. His recommendation was splint at night, arch supports and therapy. When my insurance wouldn't pay for any of it I opted for the splint alone and paid for it. It does help but I still have tremendous pain in the bottom of the heel of my foot. I bought OTC arch supports and they help some, but I just can't afford to get the custom made orthotics. I don't know whether to go to another doctor or not. I hesitate to do that because he's a good ortho and we all know how they get when we question their opinion. Do spurs go away?
