Guest guest
So sorry, . It is so hard when medications can make other problems worse. My doctor has refused to treat me more aggressively since I have a history of liver problems. My gastroenterologist has written him and told him he can proceed, but he still feels it's a bad idea. So I'm in the middle! I am now in the process of going off Prednisone and the inflammation and pain are returning. At 60 mg of Prednisone, I felt like superwoman. Now I'm down to 5 mg every 3 days and I'm going to cut that to 2.5 mg this weekend. I know what to expect and I'm not looking forward to it. And yesterday, I took my second Boniva - the once-a-month pill for osteoporosis. My last bone density showed osteoporosis in my hip..Prednisone contributed to that! Where do we go? Where do we turn? I wish I knew.
