One of the ingrediants Levothyroxine (is in this generic) has had

problems a FDA is making drug companys reapply for acceptance.

http://thyroid.about.com/blfdarpt.htm

I think will switch to the non-generic as I would feel safer taking

it.

Man that is a bummer. I have heard that they don't have a lot of

time to stop individual's small orders of medicine, but that once in

a while they will do it. They are mostly looking for orders that are

large indicating they will be resold. I have also heard that the

larger the packege, the more suspicion. so far I have been lucky.

Bet my number comes up soon.

You are the only the second person that I've heard of that had a shipment stopped. I think it had more to do with a prescription not being involved than it did with it being 'unapproved'. The last data I got on the generic the myrxforless is sending out - it's the same stuff that I'm taking and it's manufactured in the US as a prescription med and is approved.

Will you try to place another order?

It had everything to do with it being unapproved (generic made by

Time-Cap Labs). Levothyoxine (synthetic T4) has had to be reapplied

for by all companies as levo has had a lot of problem. I guess Time-

Cap did not reapply. FDA sent a 3 page letter.

I received this email about 2 hours after I called MyRXforless

(someone in Canada). Everthing should be alright.

Hmmmm Interesting.. I've been in contact with a rep from Time Caps... they have told me that there product is Natural and not synthetic.... Hmmmmmmm

You mention Canada.. there is a lot of hullabaloo about product being brought in from Canada.. I wonder if that has anything to do with it...

Are there two locations for MyRXforless... I thought they were in Mexico.....

I did a little searching and found this page.www.options-center.com

If you go down a little ways it says Natural Thyroids and listed under it is the thyroid med from Time Cap Labs along with ARmour, Nature-Throid and Bio-Throid.

So a second source, not Time Caps.. that says it's natural..... So I'm back to being really puzzled.

I've been on the stuff for over a year now. I am very sensitive to changes in meds. I was on synthetics for over a decade. What I am taking I do not believe is a synthetic. It has a 'meaty' smell to it. Synthetics do not. I am taking it sublingually, we've recently found out that the synthetics need to be swallowed to allow the stomach acids to do their thing with the extra salt molecule that holds the synthetic together... So if I were taking a synthetic sublingually I would be getting little or no benefit from it.

Having been with NO meds. I can assure you that I am not without hormone now. And taking into consideration that my thyroid was destroyed by RAI and I had to go through six months of blood draws that were done every two weeks while my endo waited for any surviving gland to kick in... I have no thyroid function of my own...

So I'm just flat puzzled with this... it has to be a case of the 'gray area' that has caused this to get held. We have a lot of folks that are ordering their own meds....

A thought... the bottles are labeled as " Thyroid USP" but with no name brand and carry the statement that they are prescription only. Armour thyroid's label, as I understand it contain that same statement and also states that they are Thyroid USP. So is this a lack of prescription info in package issue as well?

I have never ordered my medicine from an international pharmacy. You mention MyRxforless and then referred to a woman in Canada. I'm confused because when I pulled myrxforless.com it says Mexican Pharmacy on the site.

sheila

FDA stopped my shipment from MyRXforless

I ordered the generic version of the armour thyroid, 1,2,3 grain. The FDA sent me a letter that said that the drug is not approved in the US. I called MyRxforless and talked to a woman in Canada. She said I should get my credit card credited no problem. She is sending my problem to someone else. I asked if she sees this much with this drug and see said once in a great while. I guess I lost the lottery. I ordered it about 10 days ago and it was stopped in Chicago on the 17th by the way.I'll keep you all updated.Chris

I'm not trying to confuse, just told what I know. Talked to Canada,

package came from mexico. Another thing I can't understand is there

are many pharmacy websites (at least 2 dozen, didn't count) that look

like you can really get meds from it until you start delving around

and are taken to MyRXforless. What is up with that I wonder.
