The Bean Diet - Hurd

An update on the diet I've been doing to improve RA conditions:

Though the diet is perhaps the most uninterestingly bland thing in the world,

setting one to dream of skyscrapers of candybars, forests of broccoli and oceans

of coffee - it is happily helping.  For the past couple weeks, I've been

eating beans (white, black, pinto, kidney, etc.) in quantities of 1/2 cup six

times a day, as well as well-cooked carrots and celery, eggs, and plain

hamburger.  In addition to this, I've been drinking only 1/2 gallon of water

every day - nothing else.  Since doing this, I felt good from the second day of

doing this and feel even better now.  I haven't had to take any ibuprofen since

the second day, which is wonderful news to my stomach.  I can now slowly begin

to introduce other foods, but must stay away from all forms of coffee, tea, and

sweets.  I can eat a piece a fruit now.  Of course, I'm skittish to do many old

foods.  Somewhere the line would be crossed.  But all processed food is out

currently, and

I try for only organic food.  I'm going to continue this and then see what the

rheumy says with the bloodwork and MRIs.

Though I'd pass this along...
