Margoot, The coconut crowd claims a few drops of young coconut water in the affected eye followed by a warm washcloth compress and a short rest treats cataracts. Maybe Google the key words or look up Bruce Fife's _Coconut Cures_. B.
Guest guest
Hi, do you mean that the cataract will evaporate? Will the lens of the eye be free again from the cloudness of the cataract? That would be a miracle. I will search on that therapy...........but in case you know some more details could you please tell me? Thank you, thank you, thank you so much margoot downwardog7 <illneverbecool@...> wrote: > > Hi folks, > I have a cataract in my left eye and I don't like surgery. Please help. Guest guest
LDN should not affect the local drops or injections your doctor will use, but many patients are given some mild sedatives and narcotics to keep them still and comfortable, so I f you don't know, I would stop the ldn for a few days as indicated on many posts on this list. You are right, there is very little pain post surgery, but sometimes mild discomfort. From: cotton <cotteni@...>Subject: [low dose naltrexone] cataractlow dose naltrexone Date: Friday, September 12, 2008, 6:47 PM Went to eye Dr. yesterday and he informed me I had cataracts with macular degeneration. Kinda scares me on the MD. Anything I should know about the surgery and LDN? Should I stop it a day or two b4 surgery? I know I won't be taking pain pills but will it affect the deadening stuff he will use? Thanks

Guest guest
Phil, Not too many to choose from in this neck of the woods. This Dr. did give me the the most thorough exam I ever had. I meet with the surgeon for him to check me out b4 deciding on surgery. He also did the eyes for a friend of mine as well, so I guess I may go for it. It would be nice to see good again. He also did yesterdays doctors mother. soooo. Guest guest
Go for it. If this doctor uses some of the newer implants, pay the extra couple hundred for it (Medicare will not). But these high-end implants reduce glare and some help with focus and depth of view. Think of it as putting a a Nikon lens in your eye instead of the camera lens that comes on your cell phone. Glare is a side effect of the standard implants, it bothers some more than others, especially driving at night. Guest guest
Cotton, Got it! It is what it is, and it sounds like you've done your best. Several years ago I had cataract and glaucoma surgery for both eyes. I was very fortunate and had nary a problem with either surgery. I'm sure you will be able to say the same. GOOD LUCK!
