Madurai District HIV Positive People Welfare Society (MDPS+)is seeking

Volunteers to make changes in the lives of positive people

Origin of MDPS+:

Madurai District HIV Positive People Welfare Society started in the year of

2004. The network was initiated by seven positive people. Now the membership

has reached up to 1200 in which 650 women and 550 men are enrolled in the

Network.

Besides that 55 infected children and 740 affected children also enrolled in the

network. Multiple target groups like sex workers, aravanis included in this

membership.

Projects d out by the network are:

CDC funded by INP+ (ongoing project) one staff

ACT-GFATM supported by INP+ (ongoing project) four staff

Stop Violence Project implemented by PWN+ with the support of UN Trust fund.

Network needs volunteer support:

MDPS+ want to reach 18,000 infected people in and around Madurai District. The

Network wants to extend the service and support to reach the positive people.

The Network is open to research students and research organization to do their

research in Madurai District.

The network needs volunteers and projects to make change in the positive

people’s life. The volunteers are also needed for documentation Conducting

Capacity Building Programs
