And so the alternative is what? We're not allowed to think about

things we can't test in The Laboratory, the sole realm of real

science? He would have us squeeze the last ounce of spirit and

humanity from the sciences... and I'm not seeing what he proposes to

gain.

The quality of the " science " in the article is non-existent, and I

find it completely perplexing that you'd see any connection between a

(spurious) argument against fairly basic astrophysics and a book on health.

ly I think that's all too charitable a description. It's not

spirit and humanity he objects to so much as logic and

deduction. Only the directly observable is acceptable to him. If

it's too small/dark/distant/etc. to see with the naked eye, it doesn't exist.
