To be honest, I wouldn't even know where to start. I'm a fan of supplementation primarily for two basic reasons -- first, our soil is in terrible shape and judicious supplementation can at least slightly remediate poor food quality, and two, certain supplements can augment our systems to beyond-normal levels, with all sorts of health, cognitive and longevity benefits -- but beyond certain supplements which are probably good for anyone, any supplement program has to account in depth for an individual's particular diet, food quality and health concerns. And then of course there's the problem of sources and types of ingredients. Most OTC supplements have abominable fillers, are packaged poorly and often use cheap and undesirable ingredients. It's often better to buy quality individual ingredients in bulk. Bulk buying is cheaper, you have more control over the quality and nature of the individual substances and herbs you take, and you avoid the fillers. -
