I am looking for a good NT friendly drink that could be used the same way Gatoraide is used. Basically, I want the best drink possible to use during long distance cross-country ski racing to replenish electrolytes and give quick energy, etc. One idea I had was to use watered down Kombucha. I do already use that as sort of a sports drink, mostly because the taste of it is very agreeable when I'm sweating or working out hard. But what I really want is something to put in my Camel back on race day and use during a long race, and I'm not sure Kombucha would have the right elements in it for that. Maybe some watered down Kombucha with a little sea salt???? I'm always tempted to grab Gatoraide at the stops along the race like everyone else does, but usually it just makes me have a quick spike of energy and then a horrible crash in energy, even though I am already in the process of racing hard.
