Guest guest
Am I right that tablets are poorly absorbed compared to gelatin capsules? I bought some tablets of zinc-methionine today because the capsules of a different brand didn't have any copper, and they had B6, and I bought some B6 liquid that I wanted to dose independently. They aren't worthless, are they? I assume that, since I'm probably hypochloridic, I should take them just before meals, so I'm taking them with HCl, which should help dissolve them. Yes? Also, would it be better to pulverize them? Would this make a big impact in my absorption of them? Thanks, Chris -- Dioxins in Animal Foods: A Case For Vegetarianism? Thought just about all the individual vitamins, minerals were only available in tablets. If you don't mind me asking, why are you looking for copper supplementation? http://www.alternativementalhealth.com/articles/walsh.htm Walsh finds low copper rare and high copper needing zinc to reduce more common. Because what I've read indicates that zinc and copper should be taken in a 10:1 ratio, and, not knowing my levels of zinc and copper, I'd rather not run the risk of copper deficiency by taking high levels of zinc alone. At the worst, the extra zinc would prevent the extra copper from beign harmful, I would think. Chris -- Dioxins in Animal Foods: A Case For Vegetarianism? At the worst, the extra zinc would prevent the extra copper from beign harmful, I would think. It will. My question was more about choosing copper over B6. B6 being water soluable. Understand you're using liquid B6 too. Walsh does say too much B6 can cause bad dreams. No one wants those anymore than copper overload.
