At least according to the literature for fruit-growers, many

orchardists test Brix as it's a way to gauge the health of the trees.

mike,

I get apples from a grower at the farmers market what brix 18-19

regularly. Not sure how they do it because they are Korean and not

real fluent in English. Not certified organic but no pesticides, etc.

are used. The apples are $2.25/lb and I can ship some to you if you'd

like.

B.
