Guest guest
I have had fibromyaglia, I also treat it. I know alot about Guaifenisen (except how to sp it) treatment. I think that is is what the website is about. While I was working in NYC I treated many people on Guai. You can email me offlist and I can give you details. What actually helped me the most is homeopathy, herbs, the blood type diet made a huge inprovement, and I recently started following the recieps in Nurshing Traditons and I feel like a kid again. BTW I have an 8month old baby and I fel better then I have since I was like 3yrs old. THe Keifer ( Namoi, I am forever grateful) was the first thing, from raw milk and passed along grains, right into the raw butter and eggs. Wow!!! Since starting the Keifer I have more nursing milk then ever. TT --- downwardog7 <illneverbecool@...> wrote: > > > ... Guest guest
Isn't guaifenisen the stuff that they put in cold medications? If its the same substance I think it is, you should be aware some states actually have limits on the amount of guaifenisen you can purchase at once because it can be easily made into a street drug... I think methamphetamine? Anyway, I mention it because the stuff is like poison to my system. I start hallucinating on the smallest dose (of cold medicine which contains it), and it gets so bad that I have no depth perception or balance (and then I promptly get ill). It might just be me, but I figured I'd send out a warning: If you react to certain cold meds, you may have issues with guaifenesin. OTOH I would be very interested in what homeopathy and herbs you have used for your fibromyalgia. My mother has it and although I have made some progress getting her to understand the importance of diet... she doesn't want to cook anymore. I understand, she cooked the 18 years I lived home, every night not missing a beat (and a lot of it was NT) so I've been trying to work around that. She's been doing much better since I convinced her to move to FL where she gets a lot more D from the sun (than NJ) and her joints arn't as bad since I talked her into making soup with the RMBs she had around for her dog. IMHO her worst issue right now is a magnesium deficiency - which I am all to familiar with the symptoms of as I battle with one myself. Now that I've figured bran works well with me, I'm gonna find a good bran muffin recipe and send it on to her. Her biggest issue right now is how her body reacts to too much activity. She's been taking a class which is on the weekends and it makes her tired for the next two days. Any ideas on some kind of simple thing like a herb tea or a homeopathic? Thanks! -Lana On 2/28/06, t tarail <ttarail@...> wrote: > > I have had fibromyaglia, I also treat it. > I know alot about Guaifenisen (except how to sp it) > treatment. Guest guest
Yes, The Guai is the same as in cold medicine. Homeopathics I don't usually mess with without a professional homeopath. I can give you numbers that she can do phone consultaions with. Herbs, I use an herbalist that works completkly different that any other herbalist that I have met. He also does phone sessions, he's in San Diego. The way he works is to work diertly via the herbs with the energy system. Once that's working normally then the rest of the body can heal itself. Of course most peoples sytems given half a chance can self-heal, but some of us it;s very difficult. He works best with the people that actually do things to get better and it doesn't work or have the oppisite affect. FOr instance before I started working with hime I would work out (I'm a Physical Therapsit so I know what I'm doning workout wise> and I would lose strenght and muscle. Since working with him, excersice is now predicatble. WHen I use it correctly I'm stronger, leaner ect.. I can give out his number to you if interasted, aso if you Mom is anwhere near West Palm Beach she can get treatment @ the Upledger Instutue. It CrainoSacral and other forms of body and emtional work. If you want more info you can goto Uplegder.com. My homeopath thinks of Fibromygalia as a stuck temper tamtrum if thats any help. Guest guest
Thanks for the advice. One of the biggest issues with me trying to heal my mother is her lack of interest in effort. She doesn't really believe in phone consults and the like - I was hoping there was something I could buy her at the health food store to mail down along with her birthday gifts. She will try things I send her, but she just won't go looking for them herself. She's suffered from the disease for so long she's just gotten used to it and after trying conventional medicine, she's a little doubtful anything can be done. That coupled with the large amount of improvement she's seen in the last year due to being in FL alone - well, I think it really diminishes her motivation to do anything about the rest of the symptoms. I'm thinking the opposite way - now that she's getting sufficient Vit D, what other deficiencies did she have that couldn't be corrected because of that and what will help job her system's memory? I'm going to look into the Upledger institute, its not quite close but I might have a chance of getting her there. > My homeopath thinks of Fibromygalia as a stuck temper > tamtrum if thats any help. That's probably one of the best analogies I've heard yet!
