It looks like it's just tea leaves pressed into " bricks " for easier transport. http://www.taooftea.com/shop100- Puer__Zhuan_Cha_Brick_Tea_Selections.html By the way, if you're really spending a fortune on bottled water, you might want to consider getting a purifying system put in. Distillers cost around $125 and reverse osmosis is I think around $200 to get installed.
