Did it take you a long time of > eating this way to finally regain health? It was a couple weeks of simply eating meat that stopped my regular panic attacks. It was several months of eating NT that got rid of my OCD and other remnant stuff. I was probably eating at least a pound of meat every day, several eggs, upwards of a half gallon of raw milk, often mixed up to half and half with raw cream, I think about a tablespoon of cod liver oil but I don't remember for sure, a half an inch of butter on all my sourdough bread, stocks made from several pounds of bones per week, and so on. That said there are other things that may be important. Quitting caffeine could be important if you use caffeine, getting rid of any foods you might be allergic too (wheat and dairy are common), and working on your digestion in general. Idol had panic attacks until he started supplementing with pancreatic enzymes. I now take HCl and enzymes with every meal. You'll have to experiment to find out exactly what you need and it might take a while. Guest guest
I hope you don't mind me " butting in here " but in Dr. Sears' book " The Omega 3 Connection " he talks about how pregnancy is a huge drain on the body's stores of Omega-3 fatty acids and if the mother gets too depleted she will experience post-partum depression. Eating grass-fed meats will raise your omega-3's, as will cod liver oil to an extent, but regular fish oil with the omega-3's might be a better source. Sears recommended oil from small fish like anchovies because they have less lifespan to bioaccumulate toxins from our pollution of the oceans. When my kids were smaller, I found that daily supplements of flax oil and coQ 10 helped immensly with my moods. (Now I know that flax oil is not recommended.) > > This is mainly a question for Masterjohn, but if anyone else has > thoughts I would appreciate it! > > I just read your bio on your cholesterol and health site and I > felt like I was reading my own story. Guest guest
I totally agree. I used to get panic attacks on the raw vegan/lowfat/fruitarian regime. Adding back in good quality raw fats like raw dairy, avocado, oysters, shrimp, etc. really helped control the panic attacks. i still have OCD a little, but it's not too much of an issue anymore. > > Hi , > > > This may be a dumb question, but how much meat, dairy, fats etc. do you > > eat each day to combat all of those anxiety issues?
