Guest guest
As I heavily follow equine nutrtion issues, it is my understanding that copper is the mineral to which you refer. Guest guest
Maybe in horses, but it's my understanding that many people have an abundance of copper, due to copper pipes, and copper residues on food from agricultural chemicals. She definately said trace minerals. > > > > A nutritionist told me last year that grey hair is due to mineral > > deficiency. >

She definately said trace minerals. Copper is a trace mineral. It's my understanding also that copper is responsible for the brown hair pigment. The deficiency could be metabolic, in which case the " abundance " of dietary copper might not be important. Or there could be other factors in the pigment of which I don't know about, or there could be trace minerals involved in certain enzymes that assemble the copper-based pigment or put it into the hair, and so on. Guest guest
At age 25, my hair started to go gray. I went 100% raw foodist a few months later. The gray hair all disappeared in a couple of months. I don't know if it turned brown (my normal hair color is brown) or just fell out and was replaced by dark hairs. mike --- In , " haecklers " <haecklers@...> wrote: > > A nutritionist told me last year that grey hair is due to mineral > deficiency.
