If you don't have to skip sugar, then you can use it instead of honey. We went over this at GFCFNN after Robin had a trip to Mexico where almost everyone got sick. 1 quart boiled water 2 tbsp. honey 1/4 tsp. of salt 1/4 tsp.baking soda Can be kept in refrigerator for 24 hours, and then a new batch should be made. Guest guest
Only problem is that lacks a good source of potassium, which is a pretty important electrolyte. Also, straight glucose or glucose polymers would be preferable to fructose-containing sugars. Tom > This is an SCD version. If you don't have to skip sugar, then you can > use it instead of honey. Guest guest
If you used Rapadura or Sucanat, would that have the same effect of including potassium (obviously not as much as molasses)? Or would that not be enough? And what is up with ?
