I had just put the veggies in a large jar a couple of days ago, and there is no evidence of any juice. I did add about 4 tablespoons of kimchi juice from a quart that I had bought at the Oriental Market and is about all used up. The veggies just soaked that kimchi juice right up. I can tilt the jar and there is no liquid that is visible. I did mash the veggies (cabbage, radish, onions, pepper,garlic and ginger) with a wooden dowel really well. I have them weighed down with a stainless steamer mesh. There just isn't any juice! I will mix up the brine and top it off. Thanks for the reply.
