Guest guest
I found the Weston Price information in 1997, when Traditional Foods are Your Best Medicine was published. It took me years to find all my sources. But now I'm lucky, my best friend has gotten chickens, and lets them run in the yard all day long, then feeds just a little bit of kitchen scraps and organic feed to lure them into the coop at night. The eggs are fantastic, the yolks deep orange, and she has some exotic breeds so the egg shells are brown and some are green and some are a dark maroon color, so they are very cool-looking. They are delicious. She is planning to get turkeys, so maybe I can try some turkey eggs! She's also bought some pigs, and promised me some pork in the spring. Her next door neighbor sold her half a steer, totally grass-fed in his unsprayed pasture, and I have bought several pounds of that, and she got me all the bones for free, since the neighbor was going to throw them out (!). Although she keeps telling me she doesn't want to hear about my eating " fads " , she likes farm fresh food, and recently she found an article about how bad soy is, and called me to complain indignantly about how the media pushes soy! People are coming around more and more to realize how bad the SAD diet is. I also have a cow share for raw milk and cream and butter, and he's starting to experiment with cheddar cheese. Life is good! Now if I could just find a doctor who would not scream at me because I refuse to take Lipitor...............
