This was the cookware I wanted to have a 'safe' kitchen, and now I don't know what I'm going to buy. I currently have non-magnetic Stainless. Hi KerryAnn, AFAIK the non-stick finish is optional. None of the Le Creuset I own has it. I see both kinds at the cookware store. Are you shopping at a store or online? B.

" Most is ceramic coated, but they have an omelette pan that's non-stick. It's easy to tell which is non stick because that coating is black/grey. The ceramic inside coating is white/cream colored. Here's a link (page down to find the non-stick info): http://www.lecreuset.com/usa/content.php?name=FAQ Jan

Jan, I have a 9 or 11-inch frying pan with a black-grey finish inside and it is *not* non-stick. The frying pans are not ceramic-coated on the inside except for certain few specialty items afaik. B. Guest guest
Jan, They do also make black enamel with no no-stick coating, and white insides with non-stick coating. You have to read the box carefully, as color is no indicator. That's why I almost made a mistake. I guess it was too much to ask that it be color coded (and easy to tell what's what). Mine is all ceramic coated, and white/cream colored inside. It was a set though, maybe that makes a difference? My MIL had some small omelette pans that were non-stick and greyish color inside. All of this was bought at least 10-15 years ago. Thanks, Jan
