Health Boad proposal to ban backyard chickens - need help!

I am looking for articles or sites that could be used to argue the case

for backyard chickens.

The City of Easton's Chief Health Administrator is proposing a city-

wide ban on chickens, similar to that recently adopted by Bethlehem

City Council. Bethlehem officials cited concerns about

chickens " spreading diseases, such as salmonella, West Nile virus,

Eastern equine encephalitis, and Avian flu. "

Easton's Health Board is now considering whether to ban chickens and

has asked for more information regarding the spreading of these

diseases.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
