Guest guest
Dear friends, Re: /message/7228 I just came back from Bangladesh yesterday where, there too, injections and blood collection are NOT done safely on a national basis and yet the AIDS program focuses on alledged 'denial of unsafe sex' to explain mounting HIV epidemic and very high levels of Hep B while C is rising. However, there are a large number of typing errors in the text below on India, some of which are serious errors, such as saying that the WHO asserts that 5% of 12 to 16 billion injections for care are unsafe. Th WHO figure is 50%, FIFTY PERCENT, not five percent, and the WHO person in charge of injection safety says it reaches 70% in parts of Africa. Was that mistake in the Hindustan Times or only in the person copying the article? Thanks to Marc Kosta for pointing out the problem anyhow.
