OT - Potassuim Supplement Help

Hi, My doctor put me on E-lyte Potassium drops which have 40 mg

potassium phosphate. This is only 1.2% RDA. Then recently he increased

it to a double dose but this is still less than 3% RDA. This seemed so

low so I took a look at a different potassuim supplement as I was

shopping at a health food store - it had 3% RDA. Can anyone tell me

why these supplements contain such a low dose of potassium?
