Hi Phyllis,

My husband was on Lipitor (20 mg)for a 3 week trial period. His chol level

went down so he continued with a lower dose (10 mg) for another 3 weeks. His

leg pain worsened a bit so the Dr ran a blood test for muscle damage to

verify if this was a new problem. He already has leg pain from phlebitis and

lymphedema so it was critical to discover if the pain was statin related or

from one of his other problems.

You mentioned you had PAD........did your dr verify that your " new " leg pain

was muscular?
