Dear All!,

This is in response to the incident of manhandling of Dr. Mittal at a Kolkata

hospital.

It is indeed sad and shameful that a hospital with a proper infrastucture

refuses to treat the patient just because he/ she is HIV positive.

We whole heartedly support Dr. Mittal in his effort to fight for the needy

patient. NACO must take strict action agaist the said administration. Otherwise,

it will boost the morale of doctors and hospitals who follow such decriminatory

practice.( In fact,it has become a norm than exception)

Thier licences should be cancelled immediately by the Medical council.
