Guest guest
I had a marginal ulcer and required a surgical revision at 4 months post op.. I had the metallic taste from about a week post op.. so it can mean marginal ulcers that early.. If she is experiencing metallic taste, tell her to go back to her doc and get an Upper endoscopy to see if she has one.. they are easily treated if discovered early, but are very painful and serious if ignored. My ulcer perforated, caused me to develop peritonitis which can be fatal, and is very painful.. Take care Hugs, from GA open RNY 12/12/00 Revision 04/18/01 Revision 02/07/02 St wt.... 392 Cw........199 Wt loss..-

Guest guest
I think that would be ok.. but might want to check with the surgeon to be sure. I started having symptoms of a marginal ulcer again and the surgeon put me back on prevacid for a month.. I am working all the time, and fatigued to boot.. Currently , I am fighting a sinus infection, and severe achiness............ probably fibro flaring.. not usta standing all day long yet.. Take care Hugs,

Guest guest
Why thank you As I've said before though, it's best to find your " own " favorite recipe by raiding the fridge and pantry. A friend on another group always says, " The best protein shake in the world is the one YOU love, and will drink! " Very true. Felicia > There's a OSSG-Protein group on yahoo groups, and you will find some good suggestions there, and I believe that on Felicia's yahoo group, she's got some recipes squirreled away that look just lush. Two good sources. > > Pam in Niceville > (who has just found out that her surgery is going to have to be self-pay because of mickey mouse insurance, but the *good news* is that it looks like I will have it before the end of the year. <G> - Thank ghod for plastic!) Guest guest
It is a group just like this one, only called: felicias_WLS_Journal It is as boring as all get-out, I guarantee you. But the recipes are there. In fact, they WERE here, but I don't know what happened to them. I think Vicki stole them, lol. > Can someone tell me what is Felicia's website? Guest guest
Kacy - You should be on protein drinks for life, so don't look at it like it's temporary. Supplements and protein are life-long commitments after surgery. In regards to your other post about your supplements, the iron and Vitamin B12 in those GNC vitamins probably won't absorb into your body. Iron and C need to be taken separately(together) from everything else to insure their absorption. Vitamin B12 should be either injections or sublingual tablets so they will absorb. Don't want you to short-change yourself. Jeanne in WI Age 38 Open RNY 05/21/2002 314/ 276.5 /150-175 5' 8 " djgraves@...
Guest guest
If the page won't open, then go to Yahoo Groups http://www.yahoogroups.com and do a search on Felicias (add the S without the apostrophe, if you just sort on felicia, you'll get like 93 choices <G>). It will open immediately on a page that gives you the selection for Felicia's Weight Loss Journal. Pam in Niceville From: joygar@...
