Guest guest
I'll be very curious how you're doing on this milk cure. I looked it up on the internet and it is explained much more with drinking lemon after the milk and a series of things along with it. It sounded a little involved that would make it hard to do your every day business. What you're doing sounds different. Where did you get some info on it? April Re: benefits of whole grains vs. eating low-carb or no-carb? , My wife and I are doing the milk cure for general health and hopefully for some weight loss. We haven't seen much weight loss in the week and a half that we've been doing it, but we have felt thinner and feel much better overall. We are just drinking a gallon of raw milk a day each and that only. I know you can get more specific, but that is all we have in a day - some water also. Our energy level has gotten much better, but I would suspect that it would be much greater if we continued for the recommend 4 to 6 weeks. Swedish bitters is just a collection of specific herbs steeped into a tonic. I don't have the bottle with me now, but it states right on the back what is in it. I don't find that they list anything impressive, but the results are impressive. If you read on the internet about them some people seem to almost consider them a cure-all, but I do find that they seem to help remarkably for digestion. I've only been taking them for slightly over a week but already I can start taking less and less with the same effect. For the $6 I paid for a small bottle I consider it worth the price. I think the Swedish bitter is something I won't have to stay on, but can be used to help your body acclimate to a change in diet. I'm sure their are people that take it daily for a very long time with good resluts, but I'm not sure it would /necessary/. Sorry I can't be more specific. Guest guest
April, I have only two days left and I will have been on it for two weeks straight. From what I hear you should stay on it 4 to 6 weeks or longer ideally. However, events are only allowing about two weeks right now. I hope to do it again maybe October to November when my CSA stops providing me with great vegetables. My wife and I haven't noticed any weight loss but we are both feeling much better overall. We just make sure that we get a gallon of milk in during the day spread out evenly as the day goes on. I know you can take lemon, but from what I read that was primarily to help with digestion which we didn't need after the first couple days. It's hard to get good info except a couple of articles I found through internet searches. Realmilk.com has an article about, and their were others. Also, you can try doing some searches on Onibasu. Try several search terms - milk cure, milk diet, milk fast, etc. If you really look you might also be able to find one of the books that has been out of print. I think the one place was Isis farms(?sp?) carried a reprinted version of one of these earlier books. Take care, Dave Family wrote: > I'll be very curious how you're doing on this milk cure.
