I would like to raise the demand of second line ART to be started from all ART

centers in India.

Some of the patients who were already taking their first line regimen of ARV are

not responding to that treatment and the time has come for the Government of

India to modify its previous Policy on ART roll out from the NACO supported ART

centers and start immediately and provide second line ARVs from all centers at

the earliest.

Because the second line ARVs are ten times costlier than the first line and all

those people who are not responding to the first line of regimen may loose their

lives as most of them cannot afford this costly treatment which they have to

take for their lifetime witout fail in order to survive.
