Dear Friends,

We condemn this barbaric act of the Shivsena activists.

It is surprising that the media which is regarded as the 'fourth state' of our

ostensible democracy instead of taking a reproachful stand preferred to stand by

with the hooligans. It is indeed shocking to see the print media which is

believed to be the watch dog of our society has become a party of the hoodlums.

This is an awful act from the part of media and alarming too because if it

decides to be hand in glove with the party of the Jungle-raj then we are in no

doubt that the very pillar of our democracy will soon crumble down. We are also

shocked to know that the Government of Maharashtra and its loyal police tacitly

supported this atrocious act.

We appeal to all the stake holders of our democracy to stand together to protest

this heinous act orchestrated by the Shivsena activists and let us amass our

strength in up-holding the democratic sentiment and spirit of our country. We

can't let our democracy to be a hostage of rowdies.
