Vit E thins blood (get one that is predominantly gamma). Another way to release blood clots is to lie on your back, raise your feet in the air and pretend you are pedaling a bicycle. You can also ask someone with whom you are comfortable to massage your lower abdomen with deep, slow motion. -- Dear Gal, I have endometriosis which cause cramps with a " vengeance " . I don't know if that is the cause of your cramps, but it could be. It's very common. passed on this site to me http://www.endo-resolved.com/index.html of course you would need a diagnosis to know if endometriosis is the problem. perhaps a naturopath of some kind could give you an accurate diagnosis. I got one years ago by laperoscopy. I doubt you'd want to go that route. I'm planning on going to a herbalist who has been recommended. I need to start addressing my pain too. The herbalist targets and treats the cause and not the symptoms as pain relievers do. Western medicine uses god awful pharmeceuticals to treat which I refused even years ago when I basically trusted western med. I opted for surgery at the time. It's been 15 years and it's back. This time I'm going the natural route. Guest guest
This is an interesting topic. I believe I have endometriosis as well. I have an appointment with a holistic women's health center next week to determine this is what is going on. I have been following the nutitional guidelines from the website passed onto , and I believe it is helping. I also started taking Xylitol, a supplement found in crucifereous vegetables. It helps to metabolize excess estrogen. Unfortunately these days there is an overabundance of chemicals that tend to mimic estrogens. They are called xenoestrogens. Pesticides, growth hormones, chemicals in cleaning products, cosmetics and plastic... all contain xenoestrogens. There is all sorts of scientific research available on this topic. I recently started using different cleaning products and cosmetics, that are paraben free. I don't use fabric softener anymore. And I stopped microwaving food in plastic containers and stopped drinking hot beverages from plastic or styrofoam cups. It's been two months, and I feel a whole lot better with each cycle. I think another key thing is that my main source of protein is fish. Apparently meats, eggs and cheese in excess can increase your production of prostoglandin, which is the hormone that causes muscles to contract, causing cramps. Anyway, I suggest following the diet on the website below and at the least, do not microwave your food in plastic containers, and do not use fabric softener. This should help.
