Happy New Year, Everyone!

I hope that 2002 is a better year for everyone with less pain and more ability,

less sorrow and more joy, less injury and more healing, and less frustration and

more jubilation.

This year promises to be a VERY busy one for me. Things have changed at work

and I've been working an extra half-day every week to keep caught up with the

year-end stuff. Now that the new year is here, I had hoped to return to my

4-day a week schedule, but that won't happen any time soon. : ( Instead of

working 9 hours Mon-Thu like I did last year, I will be working 1/2 day on

Monday, then 9 hour days on Tue-Fri. No more Free Fridays at home. If things

go well, I really hope that we can hire my old assistant again to work a couple

days a week so I can have my day off again, but even if she comes back, I won't

have the extra time off until at least March.

The holidays here were quiet. My dad and I had 4-day weekends, but my mom and

Kerry had to work on the Eves. In fact, Kerry had to go in to work today for 3

hours and has had 4 phone calls from the office today, starting before we were

even out of bed. We spent most of the time at home watching movies, playing on

the computer, and cleaning house. Sherlock destroys stuffed animals, so I've

been vacuuming up dog toy parts almost daily! Sherlock was VERY naughty on

Friday and Saturday while he was alone. Normally he doesn't touch things that

aren't his, but he got fiesty and ate a RENTED DVD, Kerry's shoe, Kerry's

sunglasses, Kerry's knee pillow, and he turned my slippers inside out, among

other dastardly deeds! Advanced obedience training restarts on Monday and

believe me, I will be talking to his trainer!

Don't forget, the EDS Awareness Campaign is right around the corner in February.
