Ditto what Ikam has said, I too have been so scared of falling

flat on my face that I started with just a 2% reduction, now up to 4% and doing

fine, baby steps.

Hi, you sound as if you are afraid to do a

first step, because of bad

previous experience. I had the same problem, firstly experiencing

horrible withdrawal when I did not know how to decrease Effexor and

then I was so scared to start. I started from as small decrease as

3%. Now I do 5% at the time and it works for me. It seems that you

know what to do, so maybe you just could plan your action and do it?

I am tapering off of Cymbalta and have never done more than about 2%.

And some drops I had to back off of and wait for a while longer.

Holding down a job and being able to function is crucial to me, so I

don't worry about the time it's taking.

It's really important to have a life WHILE you're weaning too.
