Guest guest
I went to my RE appt. today and he strongly encouraged me to look at IVF as my tubes are blocked and damaged. I think that this might be a good option and I feel good about it. I haven't made my mind up quite yet. I called the insurance co. and they will cover none of the $7500 for the whole thing. That part is a bummer... I know that Krista you are pg now. Please let me know how it was for you. I am a school social worker and will have the summer off. Ideal timing. Anyway, I think that this might be a good thing (as good as these things related to infertility get). Hope all is well with all of you. I often read and rarely post. Amy H. Guest guest
Amy H, I had an HSG last year with my ob/gyn. Now I am seeing an re. He wants me to have another one. If it shows total blockage he wants me to go right to IVF. If not he will do the lap and go from there. My dr said the same thing that if it was totally blocked there is no need to do any further tests. Its kind of nice to hear we pretty much heard the same thing. Guest guest
Amy H, I am glad you have a direction you know you want to go in. I have my HSG coming up then will have to speak with my dr from there. WOuld you let me know the process your dr it going to do with IVF. It might be something we will be going through soon. If you want to post to the group or e-mail me at kramer@.... I am very interested in knowing more. If I have alot of blockage after the HSG we will probably do IVF. If not we will probably do a lap first. How can they tell that you had so much blockage? Pam
Guest guest
Pam, I say go for it. If you can find out if they pay for the procedure, why not take advantage of that? I see nothing wrong at all! Take care, L
